While framing the recruitement rule of Tax Assistants some points should have been considered. Tax Assistants have qualification of graduation and computer skill. They should not be considered as UDCs but above than that and the grade pay should be revised to Rs.2800/-(erstwhile Tax Assistants before restructuring of 2001). This pay scale and post was there before restructuring of 2001 also. Then the promotion to Sr.Tax Assistants(Executive Assistants) would be very easy.Other wise while framing recruitement rules of Sr.Tax Assistants(Executive Assistant) would be very difficult.
the new recruitement rules of executive assistants are not going to be finalised as DOPT instructions are available as the qualifying service from G.P of 2400 to Rs.4200 is 10 years. There will be heavy loss for the employees if the qualifying service is increasing from 3 years.
Qualifying service of 5 years is very big and it should be minimised. I think for improving the quality of Tax Assistants skill test and ministerial exam passed candidates should be considered without looking this qualifying services. I believe that all qualifying service should be abolished. If departmental test passing is the qualification then qualifying service is not at all required in any cadre.
