Kindly take up the matter of OfficeSuperintendent’s who passed ITI EXAm to get two advance increment in the present order.

  4. admin says:

    Dear senthil,
I doubt if you would be eligible for increment, as being in the post of STA is a pre-requisite for grant of adv incr for passing ITO exam

    Dear Dixon,
It seems that the ZAO is wrongly interpreting the OM as the OM itself was resultant of various decisions of CATs to grant Advance Increments. If the ZOAs argument stands, then the Department will have to face of barrage of contempt petitions as it would be impossible to implement accepted CAT decisions.

I passed the ITI exam when I was STA and passed ITO exam when I had taken reversion for ICT. I may get advance increment for ITI exam now as per latest CBDT Order. Since I was TA i had not got advance increment for passing ITO exam. Meanwhile I got selected in SSC Exam as Inspector of Central Excise and resigned from Income Tax Dept. Whether any chance of getting advance increment for passing ITO exam?

Sir, The ZAO Offices in Pune and Mumbai is still creating a confusion with regard to the Circular dtd 27.03.2015 and thereby not granting the Increment. The controversial Para 2 of the Circular dtd 27.03.2015 reads as under :

” Consequent upon the Order passed by the various Tribunals and Courts in the above matter and opinion provided by the DOPT and DOLA on the issue, the matter relating to the grant of two advance increments to the Cadres of Senior Tax Assistants and Stenographers Grade-I (erstwhile Stenographers Grade II in the pre-revised scale of 5000-8000) on passing the Departmental Examination for Inspectors may henceforth be regulated as under”

The Term “Hence Forth” is creating a lot of confusion. All of our Batch cleared the Inspector Exam during 2011, 2012 and 2013 while working as a Senior TA. As per the above Circular dtd 27.03.2015, all of our batch are eligible for the Double Advance Increment based on the Para 3 of the Circular dtd 27.03.2015 which reads as under:

” It has been decided by the Competent Authority to extend the benefit of two advance increment to the Cadres of Senior TAs and Stenographers Grade-I (erstwhile Stenographers Grade-II) in the pre-revised scale of Rs 5000-8000) on passing the Departmental Examination for Income Tax Inspectors .

However The ZAO Offices claim that the Doubtle Advance Incremement may be given henceforth to those Senior TAs and Stengrade 1 who pass the Dept ITI Exam after the Court Order date.

    Please clarify the same

    Dear Sunil,
The success is not attributable to ITEF alone, but to all the members who fought for it in the CATs and significantly to the favorable judgement won by yourself.

I attended the Deptl exam for ITO as Sr TA in 2014 and passed it but before the declaration of ITO result, Promoted as ITI…..
Am I eligible for advance increments on passing the departmental exam for ITO?

  18. Ramaswamy says:

Why was the case of Office Superintendents not taken up? Will it not be easier to issue a corrected order including OS ? Please do communicate the grievance of Office Superintendents to the Hqrs and ask them to take up the matter immediately. Otherwise it will be a gross injustice

  19. SUNIL C J says:

Atlast ITEF succeeded in realising it’s long cherished demand. Thank you comrades for making it success.

  20. admin says:

    Dear comrade,
Originally the demand was raised for advance increment for STA and SG. Hence the present order. The ITEF, CHq has assured that the case of OS too will be taken up.
